PURPOSE:To coat a metal with an ethylene fluoride-ethylene copolymer resin for a short time by covering a metal with a film-shaped melted resin through preheating of the metal at a temperature higher by a specified point than the melting point of the resin but lower than the thermal decomposition point thereof and reheating the metal up to said preheating temperature. CONSTITUTION:A metal plate 1 such as aluminum plate undergoes a pretreatment such as degreasing and washing in a pretreatment process 3 and is preheated at a temperature higher by 20 deg.C than the melting point of the resin but lower than the point of starting the decomposition and deterioration thereof in the metal plate preheating process 4. A melted ethylene fluoride-ethylene copolymer resin is extruded with an extruder 5, applied on the metal plate in a film state and heated at a temperature within the same range as the preheating temperature for 30sec to 3min in the heat retaining process 6. The resin is bonded firmly on the metal plate. If necessary, an ethylene fluoride-ethylene copolymer resin film 7 is fed onto the coat layer and compressed in lamination with a laminating roll 8. Then, the surface of the resin layer is given an embossed pattern with an embossing or smoothing roll 9 or is smoothed and then, cooled with a cooler 10 to finalize a product. |
