PURPOSE:To detect that a vehicle is moved in the state of stopping by providing a running distance detecting means, a direction detecting means, and a detecting means for detecting the change of the direction detected by the direction detecting means for not smaller than a predetermined time when running of the vehicle is not detected by the running distance detecting means. CONSTITUTION:To a controller 20 is input information related to the current position obtained by a running direction detecting sensor 10, a running distance detecting sensor 11, and a vehicle direction detecting sensor 12. A map information stored in a memory 3 is read out based on the information in the controller 20, and displayed at 4. Moreover, the controller 20 is so constituted as to activate a timer 21 when the change of the direction of the vehicle is detected by the sensor 12 while running of the vehicle is not detected by the sensor 11. If this state continues for a time not smaller than a predetermined time measured by the timer 21, it is judged that the vehicle is moved without running, namely, it is moved on a ferryboat or the like, and a detecting signal indicating the fact is output. |
