<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a bearing and to make the high speed revolution of an engine possible by fastening a pair of slit metal housings in which two-pieces divided type plain metals are inserted, severally press-fitting, for instance shrinkage-fitting, the metal housings in the shaft hole of right and left crank cases, and passing both sides of a crankshaft through the right and left plain metals for spannedly bearing the crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:Two-pieces divided type plain metals 3 are inserted in a pair of slit metal housings 5, which are aligned to a cylindrical shape to be fastened with bolts 6, and then press-fitted in the shaft hole 2 of the right and left crank cases 1 using expansion fit, or shrinkage-fit respectively. Both ends of a crank shaft 7 are inserted in the plain metals 3 fastened in the metal housings 5 for their spannedly bearing. Thus, the plain metal 3 is not subjected to deformation caused by press-fitting the metal housing 5 to dispense with cutting work, and can improve conformability to the crankshaft 7 through an over lay layer 4 to be used for the high revolution of an engine.</p> |
