<p>PURPOSE:To perform twisting operation of a cable without manual operation, and to improve working efficiency by providing first and second gears, which have cut-off portions respectively for inserting a self-supporting type cable and rotate independently in such a state that their rotational axes approximately coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:When a first gear 1 and a second gear 2 are rotated and their cut-off portions 1a and 2a coincide with each other, a self-supporting type cable 3 is inserted into the cut-off portions 1a and 2a. In this case, a core 3a of the cable 3 is inserted so as to come to the deepest portion of the cut-off portions la and 2a. After the insertion, the gears 1 and 2 are rotated relatively. Ac cording to such relative rotation, a subsidiary portion 3b of the cable 3 is gripped by the respective cut-off portions 1a and 2a, and the cable 3 is gripped by the gears 1 and 2 in the cut-off portions 1a and 2a. After the gripping, the gears 1 and 2 are rotated simultaneously in the same direction so as not to produce relative rotation. Thus, twisting is given to the cable 3.</p> |
