PURPOSE:To reduce the roll angle of a car body and swing back of a car body by means of a roll during cornering by varying and controlling a target steering angle ratio to a second steering angle ratio having a tendency for iso-phase steering control. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle on which a suspension device 1 having an orientation control means 1a to control orientation of a car body during cornering of a vehicle is mounted is provided with a steering angle ratio setting control means 4 which decides a first steering angle ratio, changed throughout a range of from an opposite phase to an iso-phase with the increase of a car speed detected by a car speed detecting means 3, as a target steering angle ratio, and sets and controls a steering angle ratio, set by a rear wheel steering mechanism 2, to a target steering angle ratio. In a so formed device, abnormality of an orientation control means 1a is detected by an abnormality detecting means 5. A steering angle ratio setting control means 4 is controlled by a correction control means 6 so that, when abnormality of the orientation control means 1a is detected, a second steering angle having a tendency for iso-phase steering control compared with a first steering angle ratio is decided as a target steering angle ratio instead of a first steering angle ratio. |
