The invention concerns a dipper construction 1 suitable for an excavating machine and consisting of a dipper unit 2 having a bottom section 2a, two end sections 2b, 2c connected thereto, and a rear section 2d, the latter being provided with necessary securing devices 3, 3' intended to cooperate with securing devices on the excavating machine. A unit 4 which is rotatably fixed to the said end sections 2b, 2c has two end sections 4b, 4c and, extending between these, a wall section 4a. The end sections 4b, 4c belonging to the said unit 4, and the end sections 2b, 2c belonging to the said dipper unit 2, are rotatably coordinated with each other in such a way that a first edge area 4a' belonging to the said wall section can assume a position cooperating with or approximating to the upper edge area 2d' of the rear section, while a second edge area 4a'' belonging to the said wall section 4a can assume a position cooperating with or approximating to a front edge area 2a' of the bottom section. The said wall section is made up of two diverging sheet metal components 40, 41, an outer one and an inner one. The first edge area 4a' of the wall section consists of a further wide sheet metal component fixed to the said diverging sheet metal components 40, 41, and the second edge area 4a'' of the wall section consists of a further but narrow sheet metal component 45 fixed to the said diverging sheet metal components 40, 41. <IMAGE> |
