PURPOSE:To improve flame retardancy and adhesiveness by incorporating antimony trioxide, bromine, and wallastonite into a mixture of an epoxy resin, a curing agent, and a flame retardant. CONSTITUTION:The title composition consists of 40-85wt.% epoxy resin, 1-15wt.% curing agent, 0-30wt.% flame retardant, 3-10wt.% antimony trioxide, and 5-30wt.% wollastonite, and also it contains 15-40wt.% bromine. The contained bromine results from the use of bromine compounds as the epoxy resin, curing agent, and flame retardant. Due to the incorporation of the wollastonite, antimony trioxide, etc., this composition has a proper degree of viscosity and tackiness so that it can be easily formed into film. When used as a filmy adhesive, it has good handleability because of reduced stickiness, etc. |
