<p>This invention relates to new mercapto-amide derivatives having an inhibitory activity against the neutral endopeptidase and represented by general formula (I), wherein R<1> is hydrogen or a mercapto-protective group, R<2> is lower alkyl or aryl which may be substituted with lower alkylenedioxy, R<3> is tetrazolyl, thiazolyl or thiadiazolyl, each of which may be substituted with substituent(s) selected from the group consisting of acyl and acyl(lower)alkyl, A is lower alkylene, X is lower alkylene or S, and Y is a single bond or lower alkylene, provided that when R<3> is tetrazolyl or thiazolyl, then Y is lower alkylene, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, to processes for the preparation thereof and to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same.</p> |
