The mulite is prepared by preparing 5-20 wt.% bohemite sol and 5- 15 wt.% silica sol respectively, controling at PH 3-5, dispersing after having sufficient surface charge, precipitating to get the peptizing bohemite and silica respectively, treating 1-5 wt.% seeding material (e.g. α-Al2O3, TiO2,ZrO2) in the same ways, centrifugal-separating the seeding material to get small- size particles, adding 1-5 wt.% seeding material to the peptizing bohemite, mixing the mixed solution with silica sol at the ratio of 2 mol silica to 3 mol alumina to make amorphous alumina silicate sol, drying, and calcinating.
