发明名称 MAGNETITE FOR DECOMPOSING OXYGEN COMPOUND AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title magnetite high in reactivity by dissolving bivalent and trivalent irons into an alkali soln. and concentrating this alkali soln. to produce granular magnetite. CONSTITUTION:Bivalent iron (Fe<2+>) and trivalent iron (Fe<3+>) in a ratio of 1:2 are dissolved into an alkali soln. This alkali soln. is concentrated and thereafter the pptd. substance is taken out and fine granular magnetic is obtained. When this magnetite is allowed to react with e.g. hydrogen at about 250-600 deg.C, oxygen (O<2->) is changed into water and escaped. The magnetite is made to activated magnetite defective in oxygen. This magnetic defective in oxygen is allowed to react with oxygen of a compd. having an anion which is represented by oxygen such as CO2 and NOx and thereby decomposed. For example, when gaseous CO2 is sucked into a vessel in which this magnetite defective in oxygen is held, oxygen (O<2->) is taken off and carbon is deposited on the surface of magnetite. Therefore this magnetite defective in oxygen is utilized for decomposition of CO2.
