PURPOSE:To realize this electrophotographic toner incorporating an electrostatic charge control agent suitable for a color toner which shows a uniform electrostatical chargeability and has the excellent safety for the environments by incorporating at least one group of metallic salts of the specified benzoic acid derivatives as an electrostatic charge control agent. CONSTITUTION:In this toner at least one group of benzoic acid derivatives expressed by formula 1 as the electrostatic charge control agent is incorporated. In formula 1, X represents F, Cl, Br, I or NO2 group, M is a divalent-tetravalent metal, n is a positive integer of 1-3, m is a positive integer of 2-4. This toner is obtained by compounding the chemical compound of formula 1 in the toner consisting of a binding resin and a coloring agent exist as a main component or by compounding the resin on the powder surfaces as a main component. Thus this superior toner is obtained which is hardly affected by the environments such as temp. and moisture, is imparted with the charged amount sufficiently, is stable even at the continuous use for a long period. Since the toner is white-light color, the excellent toner for which adverse influence is hardly affected to the color even when it is used for the color toner. |
