PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration due to swelling and to enhance abrasion resistance by forming a high density ion selective response membrane by the use of a powder of a highly polymerized polyvinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:The sheet electrode used in the measurement of the concn. of an ion is obtained by forming an ion selective response film 22 on the upper surface of an insulating support layer 10 in an membrane form by repeating the dripping and evaporation to a dryness of ion selective response film paste 20. This paste 20 contains the solvent mutually dissolved along with the support layer 10, a PVC (polyvinyl chloride resin) powder and an ion response substance. At this time, as PVC, one with a polymerization degree of 3800 - 20000 is used. When the highly polymerized PVC powder is used, the high density response film 22 can be formed and the deterioration thereof due to swelling can be eliminated and the abrasion resistance thereof can be enhanced. Further, the elution of the response substance dissolved in a plasticizer is effectively suppressed and the capacity of the electrode can be enhanced. |
