A device and a method for measuring small-amplitude signals on a moving tape. The invention mainly comprises a rotating cylinder 10 on which the tape runs, the said cylinder being provided with at least one measuring element (12) for collecting the small-amplitude signals, the said signals, before being sent to an auxiliary device, being amplified and/or processed by an electronic circuit 16 integrally attached to the cylinder.
