<p>PURPOSE:To prevent adverse effect such as noise onto other sources such as a radio and to reduce power consumption by automatically selecting the active mode for a photosensor normally when other source than a CD or a cassette tape is listened to and setting the intermittent active mode when all sources are not in use. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is provided with a means 2 sensing the operating state of sources 1, 2 and a drive mode changeover means 5 automatically selecting the drive mode of a photosensor 8 to the active mode or the intermittent active mode normally based on a detection output of a detection means 3. When other source than a CD or a cassette tape is listened to, the photosensor 8 is selected to be in the active mode normally and when all sources are not in use, the photosensor 8 is selected to be in the intermittent active mode. Thus, a drive current of the photosensor 8 is not intermitted. Then adverse effect such as noise onto other sources such as a radio is prevented and power consumption is reduced.</p> |
