The two-skin telescopic section for a movable partition, has a wall section with external plates on a support frame, while on one vertical edge of the wall section a telescopic skin extends horizontally. It is equipped with cover plates overlapping the wall section plates when retracted, and travelling in parallel planes. Top and bottom sealing strips are provided between the plates, together with an actuating mechanism. The cover plates (26) are movable on the telescopic section (20) at right angles to their main plane and, on extension, are moved by the actuating mechanism into line with the wall section plates (6).
