<p>A color filter overcoating material for a liquid crystal display characterized by comprising a water-soluble photopolymerizable substance, a cationically polymerizable water-insoluble photopolymerizable substance, a photopolymerization initiator, and a photocuring catalyst precursor; and a color filter material comprising said overcoating material and a colorant. A process for forming a color filter overcoat or a color filter, characterized by coating a substrate with the color filter overcoating material or color filter material, followed by exposure and development with an aqueous alkali solution.</p> |
