The thermostatic warm water mixing unit requires the hot and cold water to be supplied in a standard arrangement (hot on the left, cold on the right). This can imply extra plumbing effort, e.g. where adjacent bathrooms in large buildings are fed from common pipes. In the new design, the hot (12) and cold (11) water inlets are reversed. Temperature is regulated via a single valve element (30) whose position is set by a control knob (2) via a push rod (37) and a thermostat (3). The mechanism is spring-loaded for precise adjustment. ADVANTAGE - Simplifies plumbing in bathroom installations. Standard-fitting regulator mechanism can be installed in existing mixer units.
