PURPOSE:To obtain the flow rate computing device of the highly accurate area type flowmeter, by adding a compensating data from memory whose flow rate is compensated beforehand to a coded signal for the position of a float. CONSTITUTION:The float 1 is provided in a tapered pipe 2 havng an inlet 5 and an outlet 6. The position of said float 1 is sensed by a photoelectric encoder 4 via a linking rod. Since the actual flow rate and the position of the float 1 are not in a proportional relationship, the compensating value for the amount of liquid corresponding to the position of the float is stored in the memory 7 beforehand. The coded signal from the photoelectric encoder 4 of the float 1 is outputted to a computing circuit 8, and the compensating value from the memory 7 corresponding to said code is added and computed by an integrator as the actual flow rate. In this constitution, the correct flow rate can be computed. |
