An insulation displacement connector comprises a web (2) formed with arcuate surfaces (12), and insulation displacement tongues (3a) upstanding from the web. When the tongues (3a) are crimped onto a flat cable, the curve of a tongue (3a) matches that of an arcuate surface (12) of the base (2). The arcuate surface may be formed by a series of arcs of different radii.
