PURPOSE:To deeply grind the ridging crown of a central part in the direction of width, produced at a process for a rolling a coilform sheet material, from the central part for flattening by providing a mechanism to mount a contact wheel in a way that, by exerting a twist on a horizontal plane on the one of the rotary axes of a contact wheel and a billy roll, a given cross angle therebetween is provided. CONSTITUTION:A cross angle regulating mechanism 19a for a contact wheel capable of mounting a contact wheel in a way that a tension wheel 18 for a polishing belt 2 is tuned and by exerting a twist on a horizontal plane on the a rotary axis AA of a contact wheel 3 and a rotary axis BB of a billy roll 4 around a center 0 serving as a rotation fulcrum, a given cross angle therebetween is provided. As noted above, by providing the cross angle between the contact wheel 3 and the billy roll 4, a polishing belt is brought into contact with the crown of the central part of a material in a state approximately equal to the point contact of a polishing belt 2, and flattening is carried out in the direction of width as deep grinding of the crown is effected. |
