PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy for detecting a wheel speed by forming a shoulder part capable of being pressed into the inner diameter side of a bearing at the coupling section of an axle and the outer ring of a constant velocity joint in an axle construction for vehicle wherein a speed detecting rotor and a sensor are provided between the aforesaid outer ring and an axle housing. CONSTITUTION:An axle shoulder part 26A having a smaller diameter than the side of the outer ring 24b of a constant velocity joint 24 and capable of being pressed into a bearing 30 is formed as an integral part of an axle 26 and the outer ring 24b at the axle root where the axle 26 is coupled to the outer ring 24b. According to this constitution, a support mechanism between a rotor 36 and a sensor 38 becomes free from loosening due to serrated coupling, and an error in wheel speed detection can be prevented. |
