PURPOSE:To obtain the simple construction of a power transmission device for a vehicle by controlling a torque transmission amount from an input member to both right and left output members, and a differential limiting force between the right and left output members with a hydraulic piston mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic pressure is applied to an oil chamber 50, an input side clutch disc 42 is frictionally engaged with output side clutch discs 46a and 46b, in proportion to hydraulic pressure via the operation of the hydraulic piston 48 of a multi-disc clutch C. Also, torque is transmitted to right and left front axles 31 and 32 respectively from an outer drum 37, in proportion to the degree of engagement between the input side clutch disc 42 and the right and left output side clutch discs 46a and 46b. When the input side clutch disc 42 is frictionally engaged with the right and left output side clutch discs 46a and 46b, the left output side clutch disc 46 and the right output side clutch disc 46b are engaged with each other via the input side clutch disc 42. According to the aforesaid construction, a differential limiting force is generated between the right and left front axles 31 and 32, in pro portion to the internal hydraulic pressure of the oil chamber 50.
