PURPOSE:To always limit a current at a high speed by stepping up or down transmission voltages of multiple systems, connecting them to systems of substations, and connecting short circuit current suppressing superconducting current limiter to buses. CONSTITUTION:When a short circuit accident occurs, a short-circuit current quenches a non-inductive superconducting trigger reactor 22. When the reactor 22 is quenched, the current does not flow to the reactor 22, but is commutated to an inductive superconducting current limiting reactor 21 to suppress the current by the excessive short circuit current induction. If the accident is recovered, a superconduction recovery reactor 23 is connected. Then, when the superconducting action of the reactor 21 is returned to an original state, a trigger switch 24 is closed, and a recovery switch 25 is then opened. |
