PURPOSE:To obtain a member to be transferred enhanced in ink bonding capacity and capable of being also enhanced in smoothness making high resolving recording possible hy using a mixture of columnar calcium carbonate and lamellar pigment as the pigment of the coating material of a coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A pigment mixture prepared by mixing columnar calcium carbonate and kaolin, for example, in a 50:50wt. ratio is used as pigment and oxidized starch is further added to the pigment mixture as a binder to prepare coating pigment which is, in turn, applied to fine paper to form a coating layer of 12g/m<2>. The surface of the coated paper thus obtained is treated with a super calendar to be adjusted to smoothness of 800sec. |
