PURPOSE:To provide transparency, heat resistance, chemical resistance, hydroscopicity resistance and sterilizing properties and to prevent stress cracking and creep by using a thermoplastic saturated norbornene polymer having glass transition temp. of 100 deg.C or higher. CONSTITUTION:As an embodiment of a thermoplastic saturated norbornene polymer, a polymer having a structural unit represented by general formula [I] and/or [II] can be designated. The polymer having the structural unit represented by the formula [I] is one prepared by polymerizing monomer, for example, norbornene or alkyl and/or alkylidene substituted norbornene. The polymer having the structural unit represented by the general formula [II] is one obtained by copolymerizing a norbornene type monomer being a monomer and ethylene by a known method or a hydrogenated product thereof and both polymers are saturated ones. The glass transition temp. of these polymers is pref. 100 deg.C or higher, more pref., 120-200 deg.C, especially pref., 130-180 deg.C from the aspect of heat resistance. |
