The field of the invention is that of the treatment of liquids. More precisely, the invention relates to bringing liquids, and especially drinking water or aqueous effluents into contact with a treatment gas. A particular example of application of the invention is the ozonisation of liquids. The invention relates to a plant for the treatment of flows of liquids (12) of the type consisting in bringing the said liquids (12) into contact with a treatment gas (11) for a predetermined time of treatment, comprising: - means (20) for adding the treatment gas (11) to the flow of liquids (12) to form a homogeneous two-phase treatment mixture (13); -means (30) for forced dissolving of the said treatment gas (11) in the flow of liquids (12) to be treated interacting with means for degassing the said two-phase treatment mixture (13), so as to produce a single-phase treatment mixture (15); - and contacting means (40) ensuring a plug flow of the single-phase degassed treatment mixture (15) during the said predetermined time of treatment.
