PURPOSE:To safely cope with advancing of persons from both sides of an automatic door by outputting a signal of door opening to be continued even after the person passes, when the other person advances into a detection area from an opposite side when the person passes through the automatic door to enter the detection area. CONSTITUTION:In a detector 30B, detection areas B1, B2 are formed in two steps before and after the rear of an automatic door 20, and a human body detection signal X is fed to a door open/close driving gear under a certain condition by A/D converting a mean value of each light receiving element output to be compared with each decision value in a main control part CPU. When a person (a) advances toward the detection area B1 from a side of a detection area A, and when the other person advances into the detection area B2 from an opposite side, an automatic door 20 is continued to open by outputting a signal SB of door opening even when a signal SA of door opening is eliminated by the person from the detection area A passing through the automatic door 20 by releasing mask operation of the detection areas B1, B2 by the person (a). In this way, safety and reliability can be improved, relating to advancing of the persons from both sides of the automatic door. |
