摘要 PURPOSE:To lower cross-talk of a fluorescent plane by setting parallel and linear selective electrodes in a substrate in a selective electrode side having a lattice-like diaphragm and X, Y electrodes formed in parallel to a plane electric discharging electrode substrate to cross rectangularily each other. CONSTITUTION:In a gas discharge panel, a substrate 3 in a selective electrode side and a substrate 2 in a plane electric discharging electrode side are so set as to make selective electrodes 12 cross X electrodes 22 and Y electrodes 23 and both substrates are sealed air-tightly and the inside is filled with a electric discharge gas. Red-, green-, and blue-emitting phosphors 14 are separately applied to give a color display. A lattice-like diaphragm 31 which surrounds a discharge cell is highly effective to prevent abnormal discharge and interference between neighboring discharge cells and even if electrodes are selected and voltage is applied to them so as to increase operation margin and emit light in every other discharge cell or in neighboring cells simultaneously, light leakage is shut and cross-talk is lowered and the quality of displayed images is maintained high.
