PURPOSE:To display the image of an artificially moving picture by combining plural still pictures to successively display them on a display device. CONSTITUTION:Pictures of plural scenes preliminarily divided to display devices 61 to 64 of a display part 6 are stored in frame memories 41 to 44, and numbers are given to them respectively. The frame memory from which the picture should be outputted is assigned to a controller 7 so that the picture can be displayed at a designated time, and the frame memory from which the picture should be outputted at the next designated time is assigned so that the picture can be displayed. The display picture at the designated time is successively assigned, and contents of frame memories are successively read out at the designated time in accordance with the read order. Thus, the image of the artificially moving picture is displayed.
