Sprung hinge for spectacles, the movable knuckle (4) of which is extended towards the rear by means of a pin (1) sliding in a blind hole of constant circular cross-section inside a casing (6) against the action of a spring (2) slipped around this pin (1) and acting between a shoulder (7) located at the rear end of the pin (1) and a front restriction (3) of the casing. The entrance (12) of the blind hole has a polygonal cross-section over a length at least equal to the maximum displacement of the knuckle (4). The rear part (20) of the movable knuckle (4) also has a polygonal cross-section corresponding to that of the entrance (12) of the blind hole. <IMAGE>
