PURPOSE:To obtain an ice-like refrigerant capable of keeping small lot of various perishable foods, etc., in cooled state over a long period without unnecessarily wetting the other existing material after the melting of the ice by supporting an aqueous substance on a structure containing a number of small cavities and having self-supporting function. CONSTITUTION:The objective ice-like refrigerant is produced by supporting (A) water or a solution (composition) containing water as a solvent or dispersion medium on (B) a structure containing a number of small cavities and having self-supporting function (preferably a structure composed of a foamed synthetic resin having open cells) and freezing the component A. The amount of the component A supported on the component B is preferably <=100% based on the total volume of the above structure. |
