<p>A sterile biological fluid processing system (10) for the post donation processing of donated biological fluid (such as blood) into valuable biological fluid products in which gases are separated from the fluid processing system (10) to improve storage life, safety and quality of the processed fluid. Liquid trapped in various elements of the system (10) is recovered. A typical system (10) includes a collection bag (11) with conduits (12, 15) connecting it to a second container (17) for receiving fluid product. A biomedical device (14) may be included. Gas inlet (13) and gas outlet (16) provide for gas purging.</p> |
