Appts. for supplying fibre sliver, pulled to a textile machine via an intake table has a transport belt for the fibre, and a reserve line in a position ready to be taken up if the fibre sliver breaks or comes to the end. The starting belt of the reserve line runs in the space between the individual transport belts. The length (t) of the starting belt is less than that of the length (n) of the transport belt. ADVANTAGE - The new sliver can be joined on to the old without difficulty even when the alignment of the new sliver is not the same as the original.
