A roll of lining material 9 carrying a series of evenly spaced battens 2 is unrolled over the rafter 7 and the battens are thereafter attached to the rafters. The battens extend from one edge across a major portion of the width of the roll. The ends of the battens are adapted to mate together by means of a spigot, tongue and groove or dowel joint. The battens may be perforated at regular intervals. The lining material is preferably a synthetic polymer lining material such as a sheet of polyethylene reinforced with high density polyethylene fibres. A layer or strip of adhesive can be laid on the minor portion of the web surface not covered by battens to prevent moisture transmission between layers of lining material. <IMAGE> |
