PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of a fuel cell at the time of a rapid load change by detecting hydrogen concentration in a fuel exhaust gas at the time of a rapid load increase, and supplying hydrogen to the fuel cell inlet side when the hydrogen concentration value is lowered to a preset value or less. CONSTITUTION:An anode recycle system 18 connecting the fuel gas inlet side of a fuel cell 1 to the outlet side is provided with a hydrogen concentration sensor 100, an anode recycle compressor 19, and a hydrogen injection line 102. A reduction in hydrogen concentration in fuel exhaust gas by a rapid load increase is detected in the outlet port of the fuel cell 1 by the hydrogen concentration sensor 100, and the detection signal is sent to a hydrogen PI computing element 103 and a low signal monitor switch 104. The signal from a load command 105 is also sent to the hydrogen PI computing element 103, and further to a concentration function generator 106 together with the signal from the hydrogen concentration sensor 100, through which a hydrogen injection regulating valve 101 is controlled, and the lack of hydrogen is replenished in the battery. |
