To produce a composite consisting of a substrate of a building material or plastic and a cured polyester resin, in order to obtain strong adhesion between the substrate and the polyester resin, a polyester resin is used as a mixture of an unsaturated polyester resin and added water, which mixture is applied liquid to the substrate and, after curing, forms a protective layer. If a plastic component is to be joined to the substrate, this mixture serves as a joining layer to which the plastic component is applied in the liquid state. The water added to the unsaturated polyester resin must in this case be smaller than that quantity which could set the unsaturated polyester resin. |
