<p>PURPOSE:To use a normal mode B to shorten an initializing time by providing a mode A to preserve the image of a main memory device, which is completely initialized, and the mode B to travel a system while restoring the preserved image to the main memory device again. CONSTITUTION:When an operator requests the initialization in a saving mode, a prescribed initialization processing is executed and when processing is completed, the image of a main memory device 4 is preserved in an image file (IF) 10. Next time, it is judged whether the IF10 is effective or not, and when the IF10 is effective, the conventional initialization processing is bypassed, the preserved contents of the IF10 are completely moved to the device 4 and the computer is initialized. Thus, when initializing the system in the saving mode only for time of one time of processing by the operator, the system is initialized with the preceding initializing image excepting for changing following system constituting elements. Therefore, the time can be considerably shortened.</p> |
