The invention relates to a decision moment optimisation device for information decoding in a train of received pulses, which, in view of a direct correlation between the moment of testing (reception tact) with the moment carrying the time information (transition), extracts the moments carrying information by means of a two-bits displacement register and by a modulo two summation instrument, which triggers, in windows located around the expected time moments, assured by gates, a counter at whose exit another gate selects the tact pulses framed on the half bits.
