<p>PURPOSE:To reduce erosion of refractory and to efficiently execute desulfurizing treatment by injecting CaO and CaCO3 into molten iron flow just after tapping the molten iron and giving this mixed flow the rotating stir. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron 1 just after being tapped from a blast furnace is removed with slag 8 with a skimmer 7 on an iron tapping trough and introduced into a desulfurizing reaction vessel 2. While injecting powders 9 of CaO and CaCO3 as the desulfurizing agent by using a lance 3, the molten metal 1 is rotated and stirred by using a rotary electromagnetic stirring device 4 to execute a desulfurizing reaction and the produced slag 5 is separated. As temp. drop of the molten iron is little with molten iron pretreatment at furnace bed, the rates of desulfurization and desiliconization are made to fast, and reaction efficiencies of desulfurizing agent and desiliconizing agent are improved.</p> |
