<p>PURPOSE:To enable a high frequency heating action to be realized without any irregular heating against a heated item and to provide a uniform heating by a method wherein the high frequency heating action and a heating action can be continuously changed over and slits composed of a pair of oval holes are opened at right and left side portions of a top plate. CONSTITUTION:Slits 17 and 17 are arranged in the same direction as an elongated hole direction of an exciting port 6, in this case, in aft and fro direction. Its longitudinal size is substantially the same as a halt (1/2lambda) of a wave-length (lambda) of a micro-wave. Each of the slits 17 and 17 is arranged at a position spaced apart from each of side walls 4c and 4c by 1/4 of a wave-length (1/4lambda) of a heating chamber 4. Thus, at first, a high frequency heating mechanism 11 is operated to perform a range cooking. Thus, the heater heating mechanism 18 is operated to perform a toaster cooking. In turn, in case of performing a continuous cooking, a rotary pan 10 is removed, a cooking shelf 15 is fixed and a cooked item R of a heated item is mounted there.
