PURPOSE:To enable to know the approximate value of the indicated temperature at a glance by changing color light of a reflected image of a mercury system according to the indicated degrees. CONSTITUTION:A thin core 8 is placed on and fixed to a scale plate. The top surface of the thin core 8 is formed on the part of a convex lens 8a while in the lower region a slightly opaque lens is extendingly located so as to see clearly a mercury system expanding inside a capillary tube 10 with rising temperature. The side of the thin core 8 is provided with a color indicater plate 18. Said color indicater plate 18 is given with a different color corresponding to a reading scale on the scale plate 6. When the mercury system is expanded in the capillary tube 10, the light reflected by the color indicater plate is again reflected by the capillary tube 10 to proceed to the convex lens while the image of the mercury system is enlarged as well as colored to reach the eyes of an observer. |
