PURPOSE:To improve the intensity of illumination on the surface of an original by returning again the light dispersed in directions other than that of a reader to the surface of the original. CONSTITUTION:Out of the light outputted from a light source 4 and reflected on the surface of an original 5, the light in the normal direction of the recessed surface 7a of a reflecting surface 7 and light in other directions are reflected again and returned to a focal position A. Consequently the intensity of illumination on the focal position A is sharply increased. |
