<p>PURPOSE:To prepare the title ink which has an improved discharge stability, etc., by compounding an electron-donating coloring org. compd. and an electron- accepting developing org. compd., thereby enabing the resulting compsn., when melted, to fly an adhere to a recording material to solidify on it. CONSTITUTION:The title ink, which, when melted, flies and adheres to a record ing material to solidify on it, is prepd. by compounding an electron-donating coloring org. compd., an electron-accepting developing org. compd., and, if necessary, a thermally sensitizing compd., a tackifier, a plasticizer, an antioxi dant, a mildewproofing agent, etc. The coloring org. compd. is solid at room temp. and is a color precursor comprising a leuco compd. The developing org. compd. supplies protons to the coloring org. compd. to form a chromophoric group and comprises a compd. having a phenolic hydroxyl group. The thermally sensitizing compd. reduces the fusion-starting temp. of a color precursor system comprising the coloring org. compd. and the developing org. compd. by making the system eutectic, reduces the melt viscosity of the system, and has a good compatibility with the system.</p> |
