<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tension post turned steeply and to eliminate inconvenience such as the omission of a video signal by switching a mode to a control mode for forward feed after lowering motor torque to a prescribed value a little prior to directional change when the feed direction of a tape is switched from a backward feed direction to a forward feed direction. CONSTITUTION:When the feed direction of the tape is set at the forward feed direction, a control mode change-over switch 107 is switched to position 2, and the take-up torque of a motor 304 is controlled so as to set the output 114 of a tension sensor 117 which detects the tension of the tape 303 at the optimum value in the forward feed. When the feed direction of the tape 303 is switched from the backward feed direction to the forward feed direction, the mode is switched to the control mode for the forward feed of the tape after the torque of the motor 304 is lowered from the value in the backward feed to the one turning a position sensor 112 provided at the tension post 302 in the almost center of an operating range. Therefore, it is possible to prevent disturbance in tape feed occurring due to the steep turning of the tension post 302, and to stably perform the reproduction of the video signal.</p> |
