PURPOSE:To vary the width of a cell corresponding to input and data to be displayed by synthesizing continuous cells at need, expanding a range displayable as one cell, and returning the cell synthesized once to original cells at need. CONSTITUTION:A table calculator is set at a synthetic mode by depressing a synthesis instruction key. The start points and the end points of the cells to be synthesized are designated by using a mouse 39 and a cursor on a key board 34, and those data are stored in a RAM 33. When the designation of an area is completed, plural cells within a designated range are synthesized in one cell. Meanwhile, when a synthesis cancellation key is selected, the designa tion of the range desired to cancel is performed, and the range is stored in the RAM 33. When the designation of the range is completed by designating the start point and the end point, the range is returned to that of the original cell. |
