POSITIVE-DISPLACEMENT PUMP FOR THE TRANSPORT OF BLOOD

A positive-displacement pump for the transport of blood and a method ofmanufacturing the same are described. The pump has a pump housing into which the housings of the inlet valve and of the outlet valve are seamlessly integrated. This has the effect that seams or joints with their disadvantageous influence on the blood are avoided. According to the method of manufacturing of the positive-displacement pump the pump housing together with the two valve housing is made in a single forming process. The valve closing members and the membrane on the blood side are seamlessly joined in further method steps.
