PURPOSE:To make it possible to deodorize economically and effectively putrid odor of a blood by using a Turnbull blue precipitate. CONSTITUTION:Turnbull blue precipitate is a compd. expressed by FeIII4[FeII (CN)6]3 .xH2O wherein Fe<2+> and Fe<3+> are three-dimensionally and alternately arranged through a CN group and has a property exhibiting a dark color based on electron-transfer transition between Fe<2+> and Fe<3+> through ON and a putrid odor of iron-protein (hemoglobin) is extremely specifically deodorized. Potassium hexacyanoferrate (III) (Potassium ferricyanide, N3[Fe(CN)6]) aq. soln. and iron (II) chloride (FeCl2) aq. soln. are mixed. Then, a precipitate of the mixed soln. is collected by means of precipitation, filter etc., and is dried and powdered. On the other hand, n-hexane is added in a white vaseline and kneaded to prepare a mixed oil with a low viscosity. Then, the powdered Turnbull blue precipitate is added in the mixed oil and is thoroughly mixed. In addition, the mixture is absorbed on a polypropylene non-woven fabric and n-hexane is evaporated by vacuum treatment. |
