PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the sticking phenomenon of a recording head and to enhance recording running properties, recording density and preservability by adding a soap free self-crosslinking type emulsion based on an acrylic polymer and metal soap to an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive recording layer containing a color former and a developer developing the color of the color former at the time of heating and an overcoat layer are provided on a support and a soap free self- crosslinking type emulsion based on an acrylic polymer and metal soap are added to the overcoat layer. In the self-crosslinking type emulsion, individual particles have reaction groups and a polymer emulsifier becomes non-polar by evaporating water and crosslinking reaction between particles and in particles at room temp. or at low temp. advances. Since the hydrophilic group of the polymer emulsifier disappears with the advance of crosslinking reaction, a film having water resistance and solvent resistance is obtained. As an embodiment of metal soap, 0.1-10wt.% of zinc stearate is added. |
