The machine for packaging articles in foil has a shoulder (14) for forming a tube (15) from a length of foil coated on one side. A to-and-fro moving feeder (11) inserts the articles (18) being packaged into the tube. A welding-cutter (20,20') closes and cuts off the filled sections (15.1) of tubing. Between the shoulder and the welding cutter is a suction point (IV) for sucking out the air from the filled foil tubing. The suction point is formed of the end of a suction duct (21) leading through the shoulder and spaced apart from the guide-walls. USE/ADVANTAGE - Even heat-sensitive goods can be packed and sealed by the packaging machine.
