<p>PURPOSE:To exactly measure the profile of roll by determining the roll diameter by measuring the axial center line of roll and the position on the outer surface of roll in the part to be measured. CONSTITUTION:The detection signals (a), (b), (c) from detectors 41-43, detection signals (a'), (b'), (c') from detectors 44-46, detection signal (g) from a detector 62 and detection signal (d) from the detector of control part 57a are fetched in a control part 63. Calculation is performed based on the bits of information of those detection signals in the control part 63 and the profile of roll is determined and also the grinding of a work roll 1 is done by driving the valve 53 of a roll grinding device and control part 57a of a driving motor 57 based on that profile of roll.</p> |
